We cut dough — not corners — when it comes to our signature fried pies. Our made-from-scratch crust is carefully folded over the sweetest farm-fresh apples (cherry, peach or blueberry), and then dropped in hot oil for an incredibly light-and-flaky treat. A swipe of sweet glaze, and you have all the makings of the perfect North Georgia snack — served hot or cold.

I found out about you from one of my nurses . I ordered the pies and my oh my are they delicious!! I shared them with my family and friends and they enjoyed them as well. I even enjoyed the cider. Everything tasted like homemade. I'm glad the nurse told me about you. Phyllis J Gardner

Based on what I've tried so far, I would say that all the fried pies from Mercier Orchards are delicious. It was a treat for me to have a dozen shipped to me in Maryland. (I have to say, most of them went into the freezer until I finish the whole peach pie that I also purchased.) The peach pie I ate before freezing the rest of them was a taste of heaven, I didn't even bother to warm it (couldn't wait). I only wish more flavors were available for purchase online, there were lots more choices when I actually visited the store. Next time I go there I can load up on those not available online.

I had visited the Orchard before and bought several dozen pies that were good. I recently ordered some pies to be shipped but when I received the pies and followed the reheating instructions the pies become mush and they don't even taste the same. I was very disappointed with the product.

Pies were outstanding. Filled to almost overflowing with the fruit of choice. They arrived as fresh as if I was eating them in the orchard kitchen. Will certainly order again.

We are from Louisiana and have visited Mercier Orchards three years in a row to buy an assortment of apples and to get those delicious fried pies. We visited different Orchards the first year we went to Ellijay and Blue Ridge and found that Mercier Orchards definitely had the best pies we ever ate. Now we not only get them when we are there, but we order them later in the year from home. I get a dozen and eat the first two and freeze the rest for later. They are just as fresh when thawed out to eat.
I can tell you, you can't go wrong. The service is great, the people are friendly and everything you get there is great. We even ate a hearty breakfast there. Did I tell you about the delicious fresh squeezed APPLE JUICE? You get free samples too

When we visited the area we bought 24 pies for seven people and they we gone in less than within 24 hours. We stopped when we were heading home and bought another dozen. I am online today to purchase them for my husband for Valentine's Day. I think we tried every flavor and have not been dissappointed yet. Also, check out their yummy fudge.

Great Christmas gift. They loved it. Quite the surprise. So good they had to pace themselves so they would last longer.

I never dreamed I would accidentally find a source of "fried pies." We learned to enjoy them over 50 years ago when my husband was in the Army stationed in Alabama.
I was searching for an unique healthy gift for our neighbor and purchased the apple mixture. He tells me they are excellent.
But-the friend pies rate 5 stars. They are flaky, glazed beautifully and simply delicious.
I expect that I will be ordering more. Finding your site might just be my luckiest Christmas gift of the year.
