LUNGevity - Breathe Deep Blue Ridge 2014

Posted

Mark your calendars!

April 19th, 2014 will mark our 3rd annual 'Breathe Deep Blue Ridge' 5K Walk/Run here at Mercier Orchards! Breathe Deep Blue Ridge is a grassroots event planned and managed by the Mercier Orchards family in Blue Ridge, Georgia. Melissa Lillard, a 3rd generation family member, was diagnosed in February 2011 with stage IV lung cancer. We are raising awareness that Lung Cancer is not just a smoker's disease and that it has no boundaries!

We welcome everyone to come and enjoy a brisk run or walk through our orchards, surrounded by friends and apple blossoms. All of the proceeds will go the the LUNGevity Foundation to fund research, early detection, and lung cancer awareness. We will offer food and live entertainment for the whole family, as well as the 5K run/walk.

Dogs are not allowed in the orchards this year. Sorry for any inconvenience!
