    Apple-Cinnoman loaf

I had purchased this bread late 2011 and found it delightful. Fresh, moist, small apple pieces in the load. On the basis of that first experience, I made two purchases this year.

I am a bit disappointed in that the bread is dry, does not have a fresh-apple flavor to it and probably would not re-purchase.

I have toasted the apple bread for breakfast and even had it for dessert with the glaze that came with it.

    Fantastic bread!

Mercier's apple breads are delicious and always fresh. It's good for breakfast as a slice either room temp or warmed with a little butter. Equally good for dessert. It almost feels sinful.

My husband loves this bread smeared with butter and then toasted. He said it is addictive. It makes our house smell wonderful.

The bread did not contain enough nuts, cinnamon, apple, etc.

    The bread itself was dry.

Think of it as a bread with apple sweetness, or a dessert with a breadier texture, like European sweet loaves. I tasted it for the first time last weekend during my Blue Ridge visit, but it won't be the last time I taste it!
