We cut dough — not corners — when it comes to our signature fried pies. Our made-from-scratch crust is carefully folded over the sweetest farm-fresh fruit, and then dropped in hot oil for an incredibly light-and-flaky treat. A swipe of sweet glaze, and you have all the makings of the perfect North Georgia snack — served hot or cold.

    My Husband's Favorite Christmas Present

Posted by on 29th Dec 2014

My husband & I were sitting around the breakfast table, when he said " I sure would like to have some fried pies to be eating right now."
I went straight to my office and started ordering. I ordered 24 Fried pies (assorted) & 3 Sour cream pound cakes. My husband has eaten all the sweet potato pies up. We both have eaten all the lemon/poppy seeds (delicious) . I have frozen remainder of pies & cakes. We probably will be going to the freezer sooner than later.

    Best of the best

Two years ago, we visited your store and purchased the fried pies to enjoy while vacationing in your area. Since that time, I have twice ordered the fried pies online, and look forward to enjoying them during the holidays.

Had a stampede to my house.

My family found out the pies were arriving Friday and they all came over and ate the Blueberry Fried Pies in seconds. The pies arrived nicely packed and after being heated for 20 seconds in the microwave I felt I was back in the mountains and at my parents cabin. Can't wait to order more. Next time I will order more blueberry. Thanks for bringing the mountains to Florida.

Mercier Orchards does North Georgis proud, a great product and great service! Ordered 4 dozen pies, sent as a gift to co-workers at my Home Office, they recieved the very next day. Second year I have sent them and will send again next year, all of them that come up this way always ask me how they get to Mercier Orchards.

Just like my mother used to make--Everything you sent was wonderful. I am so glad you are not in my neighbo0rhood because I would be camped out at your door. The flavors are wonderful and each item tasted fresh off the tree. I definitely will be order more and I may share as possibly Christmas presents for the family.

    fried pies

Posted by Unknown on 23rd Oct 2014

I was so excited to get the fried pies, as we had been to the orchard on Sunday. Unfortunately the ants found them before I got home and had invade the package. Did not get to eat any of the pies. It looked like walking cinnamon on all the pies. I was disappointed. Those little pests had made their way into the box into the speciality box and into the package surrounding the pies. I wish you could put the pies in sealed cans to defer the pests but, also know this would increase the costs. I would still like to have some pies, but will have to wait until I come back to Ellijay.
