We cut dough — not corners — when it comes to our signature fried pies. Our made-from-scratch crust is carefully folded over the sweetest farm-fresh fruit, and then dropped in hot oil for an incredibly light-and-flaky treat. A swipe of sweet glaze, and you have all the makings of the perfect North Georgia snack — served hot or cold.

What happened to the peach pies??

Posted by on 22nd Jul 2013

I have been buying fried pies from you all for years. The last few times the peach have no glaze inside at all. They are a bit dry. Never have I had this problem until recently. I am very disappointed in them now. Have you changed the recipe of the filling???

My annual stop is becoming a twice/yr stop. The pies, cookies, and fruit butters make getting my favorite Fuji apples even better.

    Worth the drive

Posted by Ron on 27th Jan 2013

We go to Pidgeon Forge every Thanksgiving and we drive 4 hrs.out of our way to get the famous Fried Apple Pies, Apple Cider and Pink Lady apples. We have tried other orchard stores near by, but there is no comparison. You can tell everything is homemade with fresh ingredients. Mrs. Smith could learn a lot from Mercier Orchards. I wished I had a Fried Apple Pie right now!!!

had you muscadine and peach butter. Muscadine was the best. The peach was more like peach jellie and not peach butter

The strawberry/rhubarb pies were totally delicious. They were full of fruit and lightly sugared outside. Delicious!

I look foward to autumn every year because I'm going to order apples and wonderful fried pies! Apple is the best when I'm eating apple and peach is the best when I'm eating peach!

    These are a fall must-have!

Posted by Unknown on 7th Nov 2012

Ever since tasting these fried pies 2 years ago, I must get them every fall. My favorite is apple and my daughter's favorite is peach. If I can't make it up there I'll gladly pay the shipping to have them arrive fresh to my front door. Mercier is the best orchard to visit!

So many pies, so little time! One that's in season in the dark chocolate covered strawberry fried pie... which probably break some like of gastronomic law in New York State and California! Thanks Heavens, Mercier is in Georgia!
